Marcos Puiggari, DVM
Dr. Puiggari is the principal veterinarian and owner of Alpine Veterinary Care. Marcos grew up in Oklahoma and has been a practicing veterinarian since 1988. He worked in Indiana before moving to Santa Fe, NM where he primarily worked as an emergency veterinarian, eventually becoming the Director of the Santa Fe Animal Emergency Center for over 10 years. Marcos loved doing emergency work and being able to ferret out complex diagnostic issues and performing complex surgeries.
Dr. Puiggari and his wife moved to Missoula Montana in order to raise a family. After moving to Missoula he worked as the Director of the Animal Emergency and then as an emergency veterinarian commuting to Ogden Utah. When the opportunity arose, Dr. Puiggari was able to assume ownership of Alpine Veterinary Care in 2011.
He enjoys interacting with his clients; both human and animal. Dr. Puiggari is dedicated to providing the best quality veterinary care possible, with skill and compassion to all animals and to helping their guardians achieve the best quality of life possible for their pets.

She grew up in Morris, IL and Honolulu, HI, and attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois. She and her husband, Brad, and two kids, Callum and Gigi, are very happy to be settled in Missoula and to take part in all the region has to offer. When not at the clinic, you may find Carmen swimming in various pools and lakes, hiking with her family and Newfoundland named Dude, or skiing.
Katie Greener, DVM
Dr. Katie Greener joined the Alpine Veterinary Care team in November 2019 after graduating from Colorado State University. She grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois then moved to Missoula in 2006 to attend the University of Montana. She is excited to be living back in Missoula with her border collie, Hatcher. When not working at the clinic, you may see Katie fly fishing on the rivers, hiking on the trails, or skiing down the mountain.
Dawn Jackson, Receptionist
I have 27 years of experience working with pets, and their owners. My goal is to make sure that every person that walks into Alpine gets treated the way that I would want to be treated. I am committed to helping everyone get the service they deserve, will make sure all your questions get answered, and all calls are returned. I enjoy meeting new pets, and greeting the regulars.
I have gotten to know most of the clientele of Alpine Veterinary Care over the years, and am very fond of each and every one of you. My job is fun because of you and your pets. I believe if you are a pet owner, then you are already special.
I have been married since 1986, and my husband and I have pets that are our only children, so I know how important your relationship with your pet is to you. Everyone is greeted with a genuine smile!
Jesse Hammond, Receptionist
Working at Alpine Veterinary Care has made me appreciate the care and time needed to own a pet and how important they are to their owners. I was raised in Missoula and know first hand that we live in a pet friendly community.
At work, I always look forward to when new animals come in to see us, and I especially enjoy seeing a familiar tail. Our pet picture bulletin board is a great highlight in the lobby, and I love when clients point out their pets to me, or even better, when they bring a photo to post.
Dr. Marcos Puiggari and the rest of our staff are caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated, and we look forward to seeing you.
