Concerning Covid-19:

**The Missoula Health Department mandates face coverings for everyone five years and older. Please have a face covering over your nose and mouth before entering the building, thank you!!**

We are open our normal business hours. We want you to know our updated policies in regards to Covid-19, because we want pets who need help to be able to receive veterinary care. We have also added two special options for our clients' use.

Cleaning:  We have a large waiting area and you can maintain social distance easily.  We are also wiping down countertops at reception, seats, and handles every half hour.  As a veterinary medical facility we have always maintained strict cleaning guidelines with the exam rooms, surgeries, and other areas even before this event.  This includes wiping all surfaces with an anti viral cleanser after every patient visit.

To cut down the amount of time clients are in our office, we accept payment over phone for medications and food, and can run items out to you.

To permit you to provide care to your pet, we are also offering the following options:

1)  TELEMEDICINE: Consulting over the phone with email, photos, or videos is another way to accomplish treatment in some cases. Not all problems can be diagnosed this way and a "Pet Only Appointment" may be needed. Telemedicine appointments will still incur exam fees just as if you were coming to see us. Payment will also be taken over the phone. If medications are needed, we can hand them out the front door when you arrive.

2) PET ONLY APPOINTMENT: We will meet you outside the front door and take your pet inside for an exam. You can remain in your car during the appointment and the doctor will speak with you on the phone about your pet. We will also check you out over the phone before you leave. Then we will meet you outside the front door with your pet and any needed medications. If your pet is overly anxious without you present, please let us know and we can offer other options including a safe sedative to give prior to the appointment to make the experience less worrisome.

Our goal is for Alpine Veterinary Care to be the least risky place you visit outside of home so your pets can still get the care they need without risking your own health. At Alpine Veterinary Care we understand that your pets are an important part of your life. We combine the latest in veterinary medicine and services with old-fashioned loving, considerate and compassionate care for your pet so that they may enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. We do this by treating your pet’s healthcare as a partnership that closely involves you and the veterinarian. We listen to your concerns and questions, give you more than you expect and provide significant client education to both assist in preventing and also treating issues that may arise. We provide routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical, dental and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

We understand that people work very hard and the cost of modern medicine can be expensive. We will recommend the proper diagnostics and treatments and work with you to provide care you can afford.

Dr. Puiggari, Dr. Hagen, and the staff at Alpine Veterinary Care believe that veterinary medicine is not just a job but a way of life. We treat your animals like our own. We strive to provide you with quality healthcare, excellent client service and value for your money.
